Wicked Questions (WQ) is a grassroots, artist-initiated intervention that catalyzes people from all over the world to join together to respond to climate change injustice through creative and transformative action.
Wicked Questions are hard questions that provoke deep exploration, personally and collectively, and provide generative and creative spaces for new solutions to be found. This three part project invites people to "Ask a Wicked Question" (reflective self-portraiture), to "Answer a WQ" (short films), and to "Host a Wicked Conversation" (on-line toolkit/media). People around the world can participate in and connect with a wider conversation to transform isolation and fear into creative action and expression, linking our personal and creative processes with a global movement so we can powerfully and decisively transition into a new, livable future.
WQ began as a collaboration that emerged from conversations between Ju-Pong Lin and Teresa Konechne, WQ's lead artist. Ju-Pong, Teresa and a growing team of artists have co-developed WQ over the past year, cultivating the project through various iterations and venues, including academic conferences, Goddard College where Ju-Pong leads the MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts program, and community organizations.
