Papermaking with Plant Friends, with JuPong Lin and kara lynch

We will connect with the land through the magic of hand papermaking, working with a range of plant friends found in local ecosystems. Prepared pulp will be supplied, and we will also have on hand plants that need to be processed, to have bark stripped, stems trimmed, and pulp beaten. The embodied experiences of preparing the pulp offer a way for us to get to know these plants and their gifts. We will explore questions of memory, what the plants remember, how land remembers, how our memories intertwine with the memory of paper. You will each have several sheets of paper to take with you.
